So we went down and built a gingerbread house. It was a lot of fun, and Mateo had a great time alternating between eating a piece of candy and sticking one onto the house. They have completely redone the Car / Truck area, as well as the play area in the main courtyard. Mateo had a lot of fun with construction equipment.

I took some pictures. I was experimenting mostly with using my fixed length 35mm lens (52mm equivalent on a full frame camera), and also using the pop-up flash diffuser for the indoor shots.

It is not one of the tallest, but the views from the top are quite spectacular. We took the world’s steepest cog railway to get to the summit, and then took a gondola cable car to get down the other side. It was a fun day which also included a ride in a Rodelbahn (summer bobsled). Here are some pictures we took today.

The zoo is really great, and they have a good variety of animals. Particularly interesting are the Ape house and the Crocodiles. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Actually we all did :-)

One of Mateo’s favorite passtimes is to throw snowballs for Daphne, who loves to chase after them. We went out for a walk to the field nearby our place, and played in the snow for a while. Here are some pictures which we took. As you can see from the pictures it was still snowing.
