Yesterday afternoon we took our inflatable sled and went to a little hill on a field right behind our house to go sledding (sledging for those in the UK)… We took some video of the sled (sledge) runs – and as you can see Mateo had a great time!! Actually we all did 
We woke up this morning to about 4 or 5 inches of fresh snow on the ground. One of Mateo’s favorite passtimes is to throw snowballs for Daphne, who loves to chase after them. We went out for a walk to the field nearby our place, and played in the snow for a while. Here are some pictures which we took. As you can see from the pictures it was still snowing.
We celebrated Mateo’s 3rd birthday with his Big Baci, Baci and Grandpa on Skype and these are pictures from that celebration. Somehow we didn’t get a picture of him blowing out his big 3 candle.
On January 15th I got together with a group of guys and we rented out a winter driving course with instructor. It was a fun day, and I took some photos and video – over 1 1/2 hours of video footage. Most of it was not very interesting, but I boiled it down to about 12 minutes of interesting footage, which I put to some music. Hope you enjoy it -
Earlier today we went ice skating in Einsiedeln, a small town nearby. It was Mateo’s first time on ice skates, and he had a really great time. Here is some video and some pictures we took.
Mateo and his friend Carter, danced to the music (along with the toy robot at the bottom of the screen) at Mateo and Eli’s birthday party. Clearly, Mateo takes after his parents It is also clear that Carter has some rhythm like his parents And the headless man in the back does have a ball in his shirt. Um, care to explain yourself? LOL
Mateo thought it was really fun to watch everyone on the Wii so he hopped up and wanted to try himself. His first jump was actually successful but we didn’t get that on video. We think he liked making big snowballs better anyway
While walking our dogs earlier today, we saw some interesting snow formations on the bare branches of trees and bushes. I took some pictures of these. It looks like snow sticking to the branches and forming little snow icicles – it is very pretty. Keep in mind that it has been quite cold for the past week. I do not think that we have gone above freezing any day.

While we were visiting Kate’s parents in CT, we bought a game for the Wii which included an electronic version of Lawn Jarts – apparently Big Baci was a master champion of the game. As you can see from the video she did quite well too with the electronic version.
