New hosting provider
November 1st, 2009 Posted in WebsiteI had been quite happy with the service I was getting from IXWebhosting for a few years, but after a few unexpected outages and the lack of secure email support, I started to look around for another provider. The final push came when I requested PHP5 support on the server and was only given the option to move to a new server with them – which required that I make a backup of the entire site, and recreate it on their new server and it all had to be done within 2 weeks of starting.
Well since I had to rebuild the site, I figured I should look for a new provider and because I only do this as a hobby, would give myself 3 or 4 weeks to do it, but in worst case scenario, I have my old hosting account until March 2010. So, I have moved to Arvixe and if you see this post you are on the new server 
So far the experience has been quite seemless, and I hope you also find the new server performs faster.
